Basic Business Start-Up 101

We are very pleased to announce a new offering of individualized start up assistance intended to enhance your entrepreneurial and product development skills.  These will be coordinated by Mark Jahn and presented by Mark and several local experts. Sessions will focus on critical aspects of creating, growing and sustaining a new, creative business.

Understanding the important steps to making your business a success is key.  Whether you are in the idea stage, or you're struggling with post launch issues - this workshop will help you crystalize what actions are needed and make your efforts more productive. Understanding your value proposition, the challenging transformation from product offering to ongoing business, jump-starting sales, controlling costs and assembling resources are all covered, along with some interesting tips & tricks. This interactive session is followed by an extended question & answer period and an informal networking opportunity.

This first Workshop begins with:

1.) What do I really have?

2.) Can I define the business opportunity?

3.) What is it worth to my customer?

4.) Who are my potential customers?

5.) Talk to the customer

6.) What are my true and total costs?

 7.) Getting started

8.) Why marketing is most important

9.) Professional services & leveraging strategies
