If you're itching to start making sawdust in the wood shop (but the last time you used a band saw was middle school shop class) then this is the course for you!
Intro to Wood Shop Power Tools outlines the basic operation and safety of a variety of wood working equipment including the table saw, miter saw, band saw, drill press, nail gun, hand drill, belt sander, pedestal sander, and drum sander...phew!
This is a hands on course that includes instructor demonstration as well as the opportunity for each student to practice on the equipment. By the end of the course each student will complete a wooden tool box, perfect for your future woodworking endeavors!
A $10 materials fee covers each student's wood and consumables for their take-home project.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. Our shop can be a little tricky to find so we suggest giving yourself extra time for traffic and parking.

**No loose or baggy clothing. Hair that is shoulder length or longer should be tied back. Please wear closed-toe shoes. No sandals**
