Registration

We reserve the right to postpone or cancel any course without notice. Attendees may cancel up to 48 hours in advance without penalty. Cancellations up to 24 hours in advance incur no penalty if the minimum number of attendees is maintained. Otherwise, and always in the case of no-shows (except in the cases of medical emergency and family bereavement) a 100% penalty of the tuition (not including materials fees, if any) is levied.

Take your projects to a new dimension! Our 3D modeling course helps you visualize your work like never before and share it with others. Perfect for designing to 3D print, use our CNC machines, or even to prototype a project before you even touch any material.

Fusion 360 is a cloud-based 3D CAD/CAM software by Autodesk. Through the cloud you can save your files in the program and sign in to any computer with the software installed in order to access them. In the Intro to 3D modeling class students will learn how to model dimensions with specific values through parametric design and drawing constraints, create smooth surfaces and organic shapes with T-Splines, patches, and extrusions, import and manipulate an existing STL or OBJ mesh model, import reference images to help design more precisely, assembly modeling and creating joints, and mesh modeling and preparing a file for 3D printing.

Required Prerequisites:

Basic computer skills: keyboard and mouse functions, how to save to an external drive, menu options and navigation.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. Our shop can be a little tricky to find so we suggest giving yourself extra time for traffic and parking.

**Please wear closed-toe shoes. No sandals**
