Designing on the computer can be confusing (and even a little stressful) if you're not familiar with the software or vocabulary. Never fear! Our Intro to 2D Graphics course outlines the basic functions and operations of Computer Aided Design through CorelDRAW, a vector design software, so that you can get started off on the right foot. This course will take students through the process of creating and prepping 2D vector files such as .eps, .dxf, .dwg, .cdr and .plt which can be used on our CNC run machines (eg: laser, CNC router, CNC mill, and plasma). Don’t have CorelDRAW on your computer? We've got you covered! MakerPlace has PC Laptops installed with CorelDRAW available for class checkout. Required Prerequisites: Basic computer skills: keyboard and mouse functions, how to save to an external drive, menu options and navigation. Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork. Our shop can be a little tricky to find so we suggest giving yourself extra time for traffic and parking. **Please wear closed-toe shoes. No sandals**
